BackerKit Survey smoke test coming soon!

Hey Backers,

We are finished setting up the official BackerKit Survey and would like to send out invitations as soon as possible. We wanted to let you know before we do that, we are going to send out a SMOKE TEST. This is where we send out invitations to 5% of backers from each pledge level. We are asking backers to please leave a comment if you see any issues so that we can address/fix them before sending out the rest of the invitations to everyone.

SURVEY CONFUSION?

Yesterday we sent out a survey using the Kickstarter Survey feature (this is different than the official BackerKit Survey). This may have caused some confusion and we apologize for this. We were trying out a feature that Kickstarter has built-in to the campaign which we haven't ever used before (we have only used BackerKit and PledgeManager by Kicktraq in past projects). Our main goal was to try it out and have backers in the following pledge levels tell us in advance what colors they plan on choosing:

• Choose ANY TWO Organizers (247 backers)
• Choose ANY THREE Organizers (65 backers)
• Choose ANY FOUR Organizers (29 backers)
• Choose ANY FIVE Organizers (8 backers)
• Choose ANY SIX Organizers (9 backers)
• Choose ANY SEVEN Organizers (2 backers)
• Choose ANY EIGHT Organizers (7 backers)

That way we can have a better idea of how many organizers to mass produce. The sooner we have this information, the faster our manufacturing partner can begin, which ultimately means a faster delivery of your rewards.

So what now?

Currently, we only received 323 responses out of 589 which is approx. 54% through the Kickstarter Survey.

This is not enough for us to make an official order with our manufacturing partner. We would like to see a higher percentage of responses (e.g. 90% or greater) which is why we reached out to the BackerKit Team to see if we could do an official BackerKit Survey sooner.

And there is good news...

After talking to the BackerKit Team, they said we can absolutely send out invitations to BackerKit Survey (even though traditionally, it has been recommended that creators wait until the Kickstarter pledge collection is completed first). We understand that during this two week pledge collection process some backers cancel or have declined payments which makes sense why we may not want to send out surveys too soon. But in our case, we want to prioritize shipping rewards faster so we are going to go ahead and move forward with BackerKit Survey and worry about dropped/cancelled pledges later, behind the scenes. 👍

With that being said, we are asking backers to prioritize answering their BACKERKIT SURVEY when they receive their invitations. You can still answer your Kickstarter Survey if it continues to prompt you to but it is not as important as answering the official BACKERKIT SURVEY.

We apologize again for any confusion this may have caused you. 🙏

Please be on the lookout for an invitation to the BACKERKIT SURVEY (SMOKE TEST) by 9AM PST today. If you receive an invitation, your timely response is greatly appreciated!

If the SMOKE TEST is successful and there are no issues, we will send out invitations to everyone around the same time tomorrow.

Built-in Kickstarter survey sent!

Please look for a banner at the top of your Kickstarter page when you login.

Our EPICFORGED Pocket EDC Organizer campaign closed with 589 backers and $19,012 in pledges! 🤗 We're excited to deliver a premium pocket EDC organizer to the Kickstarter community.

WHAT'S NEXT? 🤔

We need your help to speed up mass production. As many of you are familiar with Kickstarter, they take two weeks to collect pledges before releasing the funds to us. After this, we send out invitations to our post-campaign survey BackerKit. On BackerKit we are able to get the exact counts necessary to mass produce the correct number of EDC Organizers. This process can take up to a month or more. So we came up with an idea to help speed things up a bit!

WE ARE GOING TO RUN A SURVEY BEFORE THE BACKERKIT SURVEY!

By running this survey before the actual BackerKit Survey, we can have a better estimated quantity to produce and green light our manufacturing partner to start mass production BEFORE Kickstarter is finished collecting pledges.

We are asking the following backers to assist us with this poll/survey.

For everyone else who pledged on just one organizer, we already have the correct quantities for those and you do not need to answer the survey.

So where can we answer the poll/survey?

We just noticed that Kickstarter has a built-in survey feature. Once we have it all setup, we will send them out. We are asking that you answer the survey as accurately as possible. 🙏 That way we can produce the correct number and color of organizers which ultimately leads us to a faster delivery. 

Please also note, you can change your selection in BackerKit Survey later but we are hoping that you do not do this so that the numbers can be as accurate as possible. 😬

Potential new ORANGE color?

Regarding the new ORANGE color organizer we have mentioned recently, we are still working on finding a suitable color swatch as the "international orange" fabric is not readily available. We also have decided that if we are able to do it, it will be a limited quantity ADD-ON with maybe just 100 available. It will only be available as an ADD-ON to your existing pledge reward on BackerKit and not a new color to switch your reward to. We hope this is OK as we are simply not able to meet the higher minimum order quantities for this color to be treated as a new pledge reward.

High-visibility INTERNATIONAL ORANGE color?

Hey Backers,

We see that some of you have shown interest in a high-visibility INTERNATIONAL ORANGE color organizer. This is what we found on google images, is this the correct orange that you may be interested in?

We wanted to let you know we are in discussion with our manufacturing partner regarding this color option. So far they said they do not have an exact match but if we wanted to make it a custom order color we would have to commit to a 500 - 1000 unit order. However, they are searching to see if they have a supplier that has a similar orange fabric that is more readily available/in-stock then we can possibly get a smaller minimum order quantity.

We hope to have some news to share in a few days.
